WHAT IS INTEGRATION?

It’s the act of unifying communications between platforms, so the data can be stored somewhere. Integration gives you the possibility of having this data sent automatically, optimizing time and effort.

TYPES OF INTEGRATION

In the Ion platform, the available integrations are related to data collection. With them, the leads captured in your interactive content are sent to your CRM or email, for example, so they can be nurtured by your Marketing and Sales team in a more dynamic and strategic way. It’s possible to send data from your CRM to Ion as well.

INTEGRATIONS FORMATS

Get to know more about the integrations formats avaible in Ion: Native (most used), Post to web form, Formatted email, Delimited file

Native Integration

It is an integration that allows you to export or get data via REST API. By creating correspondent fields, it is possible to export Ion data to a Customer Relationship Management System - CRM (Add lead), or even get data from this CRM to Ion (Get lead).

In Ion, we have the following available systems:

  • To export data from Ion: Eloqua, Marketo, Hubspot, SalesForce, Act-On
  • To get data to Ion: Eloqua, Marketo, Hubspot

Post to web form

This kind of integration format allows you to send the collected data in lon to a form created in your automation tool. The data is received into your CRM, but entered via its own form.

Formatted email

In this integration format, an email is set in your Ion platform in which you want to receive the data captured by lon. This data is sent in the body of the email. If you choose this option, however, you need to have control of this information. Since when receiving the emails, you will need to manually register the data.

Delimited file

In this integration format, you inform the platform which data you want to receive in a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is also sent by email.

Embedded Form

CRM form code is used to build a reusable widget in the ion platform. Once the widget is built, you can insert any CRM form using variables in ion's creative studio. This method requires custom scripting or other specialized setup to pass data that isn't collected directly via form fill (things like IP address or the results of an interactive assessment) to hidden fields on your CRM form.

*For Marketo, Pardot and Hubspot only

ADVANTAGES

Each integration format has its own advantages, check them out:

Native Integration

The main advantages of this type of integration are that you can receive leads directly in your automation tool so that they can be worked on by the Marketing and Sales teams. That way, every time you have a conversion in your interactive content, those leads will be available in your tool's contact base.

Post to web form

The main advantages of this type of integration are that the leads are received via a form from the automation tool itself, giving you greater control over the organization of this data. When performing this type of integration, every time a lead converts to your interactive content, they will be sent to the chosen form and will be available in your automation tool.

Formatted email

The main advantage of this type of integration is that you don't need to have an automation tool to set it up. It can also be created together with other integrations to act as sort of an email notification and data checking. So, every time a lead converts, you will get an email with the data you have previously set to receive.

Delimited file

The main advantages of this type of integration are that you don't need to have an automation tool to set it up, and you can have your data stored in a spreadsheet. It can also be created together with other integrations to act as sort of an email notification and data checking. So, every time a lead converts, you will get an email with the data you have previously set to receive.

Embedded Form

The main advantages of this method are the ability to use form completion as a Smart List trigger/filter and the ability to leverage progressive profiling built in your CRM. It can also be a good solution for companies with strict data security policies who do not want lead form data stored in ion for any period of time.
